Courtney Loberg has been making comics about queer outsiders and prairie otherworlds since 2012.
Their current series, We Don’t Go Through the Angelgrass, is a coming-of-age folktale about a hungry, pastel prairie and was nominated for a Doug Wright Award in 2021.
Their second graphic novel, My favourite girl that I never see, was published in 2019 by ChiZine.
Courtney’s poetry, art and comics have appeared in Augur, Folklore for Resistance, Ink Brick, and Leah Wishnia’s Happiness anthology.
They live and work in amiskwacîwâskahikan/Edmonton.
