James Lloyd is a Vancouver cartoonist who has worked both professionally and independently in comics for over two decades. He is best known for his work on the Bongo Entertainment line of comics, particularly the Futurama Comics title. As late has been drawn to more earth-bound subject matter, exploring stories that address the changing shape of Vancouver.

In the professional realm, he has worked in Vancouver’s animation industry and has contributed comic works to publishers like First Second, Boom! Comics, and Oni Press.

In 2016, James stepped into the realm of comics education, helping form Langara College’s Graphic Novel and Comix program, where he instructed courses involving all aspects of comic creation. He has held presentations, workshops & mentorship programs throughout his career, and has finally learned how to not smudge his signature at conventions.
